How much does the foundation distribute annually?

The foundation expects to be able to distribute approximately 3 to 5 mDKK annually in total support, distributed across the foundation's five main objectives. The size of the distribution foundations depends on the dividends from the business operations of the foundation's companies.

In 2024, the board distributed 4.9 mDKK

In 2023, the board distributed 4.2 mDKK

In 2022, the board distributed 4.3 mDKK

In 2021, the board distributed 3.3 mDKK

How often can you apply for funding?

Applications are expected to be processed twice a year, usually in April and December.

Applications must therefore be received by the foundation no later than the end of February or the end of October.

Private applicants are encouraged to apply only once every five years, as the foundation wishes to accommodate as many private applicants as possible.

Do you need to use an application form?

As a private individual, you should use the application form available on the foundation's website. Other applicants may choose to use the form.

When will I receive a response to my application?

Applicants can expect to receive a response to their application no later than two weeks after the application has been processed by the foundation's board.

No reason will be given for the rejection of an application.

Applicants must ensure that their application falls within the foundation's distribution objectives to be considered.

Do you have to pay tax on a donation from the foundation?

The main rule is that distributions from the foundation are included in the recipient's taxable income.

The foundation is currently approved in accordance with Section 7(22) of the Danish Tax Assessment Act, according to which donations of up to DKK 16,400 (2024) are tax-free for private recipients.

It is the recipient's own responsibility to file a correct tax return, and the recipient's tax affairs are always irrelevant to the foundation.

The foundation has a reporting obligation for distributions to natural and legal persons.

Can we publicly announce that we are recipients of a donation from the foundation?

Publication or disclosure of support from the foundation must be agreed upon with the foundation. The foundation is generally positively inclined. Please contact the foundation's administrator for further arrangements.
